Shelters for strays!

Writer's picture: thecatcarecothecatcareco

Being a cat sitter isn't just about caring for people's cats - we care about cats with no owner too! Lots of people nowadays get online frozen food deliveries for themselves or their pets. If you're one of those people, don't throw away the polystyrene box! They make a perfect stray cat shelter when you cut a hole, wrap in bin liners and tape, and fill with straw! Don't use blankets, towels or folded newspaper in your shelter; they absorb body heat and chill cats who are lying on them. Forego hay too, which may irritate noses and cause allergic reactions. Always remember: STRAW FOR STRAYS!

Here's my shelter made from my monthly "Luna & Me" raw cat food delivery box. Visit www.lunaandme.com to view their range of handy, pre-portioned frozen raw cat food.

If you're in Oldham or Tameside and would benefit from one of these shelters, contact me via email on thecatcareco@gmail.com and if I have a spare box I will make one for collection.
